Prayer
What is prayer? Prayer is communicating with God. It is you telling God what is on your heart, mind and soul. Prayer is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is found, burdens are lifted, and supplication is made. God listens, answers, and moves in direct response to prayers. Throughout the scriptures the dead were raised, the fates of nations were changed, and people were delivered all as a direct result of answered prayer. The same God that answered those prayers, still answers prayers today. James 5:16 reminds us that "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (KJV).
Getting an answer to a prayer is not based on the eloquence of the prayer. We don't have to use certain words or phrases or hold our hands a certain way to get God to answer our prayers. All we have to do is ask God for His help. Psalm 107:28-29 reminds us, "Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still" (KJV). There is power in prayer!
James 5:16 also commands us to "...pray one for another." (KJV). We at Christian Life Center welcome the opportunity to lift up your need to God in prayer. Please use the below form to submit your prayer request.
